3 Ways to Leverage the Lists of Others

Here are 3 ways to leverage the lists of others.
- Join with others in giveaways.
- Join with others in a co-registration co-op.
- Use affiliates for your product.
Join Giveaways
This is one of the easiest ways to really jump start your list building. This is how they work.
You join up as a jv partner and offer a free product. Each member of the giveaway promotes the free products to their list. Each person that joins the giveaway and wants a free copy of your product has to join your list to get their copy.
Each of the people on all of the jv partners lists gets invited to get free things. You get the people from every body’s lists. Most giveaway promoters also have added in a one time offer or OTO on which they will pay a commission for each person that buys.
This can really boost the visitors as each person that signs up for the giveaway can also send to their lists and receive a commission for any of their subscribers that take advantage of the OTO.
A good giveaway can easily add more than a thousand subscribers to your list.
Co-registrations
Co-registration in it’s most basic form is an exchange of thank you page recommendations between partners. Here is how it works.
Two or more partners that get similar numbers of subscribers from their marketing (regardless of how they get them) agree that each person they get to subscribe to their newsletter will be redirected to a thank you page promoting the other partner’s newsletters.
Example – John, Joe and Mary all average about 10 subscribers a day through their normal marketing efforts. They agree that as each subscriber signs up that they will redirect them to a page that recommends the other two parties newsletters.
John gets a subscriber and when they click the link to verify their email address instead of using their auto responders default page they send them to a page that says “Thanks for subscribing. Please take a moment to check out the newsletters below that I recommend.” Or something similar.
This can easily add 5-10 extra subscribers to each partner’s newsletter without any additional promotion. There are also services that will create the partnerships for you.
Using affiliates for your product This is one of the best ways to ramp up your list building. The reason is that each person that you receive will be your customer.Affiliates will send traffic to your sales page because they get paid a commission. You love it because each person added to your list is a customer who has already tried your product.
These 3 ways can allow you to leverage the work of others and boost your list building efforts.
