Email swaps are one of the easiest ways to power up your list building. Now you do need to have a list to start but once you have an existing list of 500 or more you can start using this technique.

The concept is simple and that is part of what makes it so powerful.

You email your subscribers a free offer from your partner and they email their subscribers about your free offer. If you have similar size lists or one of you can segment your list to match clicks you can add quite a few subscribers quite quickly.

Their are a variety of sites where you can find partners looking to do this and as long as you both have offers that match your subscriber base it is a win – win for both partners.

Now the down side to this is locating partners and when you find a good partner it is always best if you can swap more than once. To do this though you need more than one offer.

Now creating your offers can be quite time consuming. You need to create an ethical bribe, compose a quality squeeze page then set up your other pages to complete the system.

If your list is in the internet marketing field then Doug Champigny just released a PLR offer that you need to check out – The List Building PLR Super Pack.

This package includes 5 PLR reports with squeeze pages and you can even sell the reports because there is also a sales letter at a too low price.

The topics are ..

– Article Power
– List Explosion
– Traffic Triggers
– Video Marketing Secrets
– Profitable E-Mail Copywriting

So grab your List Building PLR Super Pack today

The key is always action over perfection as the latter will keep you from ever getting anything done.

I will be answering those that put in a note for my blog tour this week end and if you have a blog and would like me to stop by and add some content for your readers just send in a ticket to the support desk

Now off to the blogs and see how well I have been doing with the back to basics theme.

Whats New

Money In The Bank Video – This is a must see video and the half hour of your time will be well worth it from Marlon Sanders. Be prepared to take notes and apply what Marlon is talking about because when he talks I listen.

Offline SEO Pro – This is one of the ways I cover the monthly bills with very little effort on my part.It supplies a great service that your local businesses will love and after the first client or two your client’s will find you more business. Mine do. Currently discounted but I am not sure for how long.

Internet Marketing Intensive – A very limited PLR package from Edmund Loh and Elle Wong that will go away after Monday or when 500 copies are sold. This course would be worth it for most just to use and apply it and when you add the PLR it becomes even more valuable.

Saturday Seven – This week it is a great package on research tools showing you how to use a variety of free tools. It comes with MRR but what the rights license says is closer to PLR and I will be using it for content myself. At $7 a no brainer but only until Monday night when it disappears.

Other items of interest

12 Month Internet Millionaire – I am sure you will see a lot about this in your email as it is from Russell Brunson but the link to this is not mine as I am not promoting it. Here is why -The content is good but for most of my readers this will be a distraction from getting you started. This is perfect for the person that has a business and is making money and if that is you I recommend this but the surveys I have been doing show me very few of you are ready for this.

Rather than see you get side tracked to make a few dollars I would prefer to let you know about it and who will benefit but more importantly who it will be a distraction to so you can avoid it.

Taking action to get your squeeze pages up, doing the research to find your own niche and creating your first product are more important. Once you have those and if you do then something like this will be helpful. Until then working on the basics will benefit you much more.

Finally I will be contacting those over the week end who invited me to guest on their blog and get my tour set up. Still time for you to add your blog to the tour. Send me a message through the help desk with your blog and the type of content I could add when I visit.

Hi. I’m Nicole Dean and I’m here this week as a Guest Expert for Mike, sharing tips for how you can get ideas for your next blog post.

Today, I’m going to talk about your mailing list and lists in general. You do have one of those, right?

If you do, but they aren’t profitable — of if you don’t yet, go right now and grab this free report:

Six Steps to Six Figures with List Marketing.

It’s quite good.

ok. Let’s move ahead…

Here are some more tips for generating ideas.

8. Track your email results.
If you’re tracking your open rate in your newsletter & promotional emails, you’ll quickly find what your list members are most interested in hearing about by which emails are opened and which links are clicked upon the most. Obviously you’ll want to take those topics and write lots more and post it to your blog.

9. Sign up for your competitors’ lists.
Now, don’t sign up with your main email address, unless you set up the promotional emails to filter to a special folder. You don’t want your competition interrupting your work day or weakening your self-confidence during the day. But, you do want to keep an eye on trends to see what’s up and if they’re talking about a topic that you think your readers would like to learn more about, too.

10. Ask your readers.
You’ve got a list. You want those people on your list to like you and buy from you, right? So, ask them what they’d like to hear more about. Survey them with a tool like SurveyMonkey.com or EasyInternetSurveys.com or any of the other great free services and find out. Then, offer them more content based around that topic.

I’ll be back tomorrow with more.

Warmly,
Nicole Dean

PS. I’m not sure if you’ve seen these yet, but they crack me up! Click on the graphic below and you’ll find 15 Internet Marketing comics to enjoy. See you tomorrow with more.

Thanks so much for reading!

Whats New

Direct Response Marketing 2.0 – This is your chance to get a system that every serious marketer should be using for free. The people behind this are first class and can really help you.

Saturday Seven – Each week end I will be putting up a very special deal for just $7. It will only be live from Saturday through Monday and then it will disappear. So look for a new one each week. This week it is 50 Adsense WordPress Themes for your niche sites with Master Resell Rights.

Other Ponderings – Rambling from the Old Bald Guy

One of the things that causes people to fail in building an online business is information overload. It comes about because you never take the time to complete anything.

Learn to shut off your email, messengers and all the distractions for set periods of work. Look at the items on your to do list and what you can complete this week and just finish them.

Don’t be distracted by the next shiny objection If you can’t use something right now ignore it. If it is any good it will be there when you do need it or something else will be that is better.

This rambling sounds funny coming in a post where there are more than one shiny objects but there are a wide range of readers here. Not everything I talk abut is for every person.

Each person is at a different point and I try to let each of you know exactly who different things fit. If it fits check them out but if it is something that is going to cause you a new learning curve ignore it for now.

Get out of learning mode and just do it. Your business will grow much faster and the fog will lift.

Have a great weekend.

Mike Paetzold

Today I did my email a bit different and violated some of the “rules”. Will it work? That is the real question and the answer will show up soon. That is one of the nice things about the internet – speed.

So I was different – here is the email

Subject – A 4 letter word that may not be bad?

Just a few quick things today that I have found
that can help you and be prepared because
sometimes I use the 4 letter word. You have
been warned.

First Dr Mani has a new report you can grab
with no opt in just go and download it. Well
worth the time to read it.

WARNING: This report may cause you to have
to do some of that four letter word WORK but
only if you apply it and if you do you will benefit.

http://mikepaetzold.com/likes/multiply

Second that crazy friend of mine Robert Plank
who Twitters me telling me I suck and he rocks
just launched Time Management On Crack.

http://mikepaetzold.com/likes/tmoc

I bought it last night and ended up reading the
whole thing and started applying it immediately.

Some really great tips and easy to apply. The follow
through may be a bit tough but then you get back
to that dang 4 letter word again.

It is a dime sale format so the price is rising as he
sells more copies.

Final thought for the day – Got some strange tweets
over yeterdays blog post including this one from
Joel Osborne

“Thank you @MikePaetzold for not calling me stupid
http://tinyurl.com/dzczvx “

Sometimes doing something different can create a
bit of a stir. What have you tried different lately?

All for today – have a great one and don’t be afraid
of that 4 letter word – It can improve your business.

To your success in 2009.

Mike Paetzold

Follow me on Twitter
http://twitter.com/mikepaetzold

Couple of things here that you are usually told to avoid like multiple items in the same email and using that dang 4 letter word work. After all people don’t want work they just want the easy button even though we all know that you need the work.

So what do you think? Will this work or won’t it? Do you even care about documenting experiments like this? Let me know in the comments. Will talk about the actual results in a couple days.

Got a kick out of this and you really need to study what was done here to generate interest.

===> Toilet Man

There is a reason Marlon Sanders is one of the top LONG term marketers. He always uses humor and his good old boy personna to generate traffic. He creates solid products that are usable.

What’s more is that this is a product that I use a lot more than I thought I would. I bought Design Dashboard when it first released because I didn’t believe that anyone could put together something that would help an Old Bald Guy improve his pages.

That is something I have always outsourced. I don’t have the time or inclination to become a great graphics guy. I stick to what I am good at. (Yes there actually are
a few of those. .

However, being ready to launch a product or needing a quick graphic for a squeeze page and not being able to finish it because I need a simple thing has always been one of the most frustrating things for me.

Despite working with good graphics guys they tend to be busy. You can’t expect them to drop what they are doing and pop out that little text graphic right then.

In a day or two if you are lucky, but not right then.

What happens then is I spend more time finding and ordering the simple things and worse the project gets delayed. Sometimes by the time I get it back and test it I find it wasn’t that great of an idea anyway. But you don’t know til you try.

That is the type of thing that Design Dashboard has allowed me to overcome. Need that quick graphic -done. Need a full site design – well that still gets outsourced.

Check out the toilet man page. Pay attention to the marketing principles used there and look for how you can apply that to your business in your voice.

Then if you are like me and frustrated with the time and effort you spend on small design things – check out Design Dashboard.

===> Toilet Man

You’ll be glad you did.

By Mike Paetzold

It is becoming more common but the big question I get when talking to people is “Why use a blog?”.

Off the top of my head I can think of 5 major reasons.

A blog is:

Easy to update

Easy to get started

Liked by the search engines

Creating feeds automatically

Allows people to interact with you

Before I start let me take just a minute to define the term blog. The following is quoted from Dr. Mani one of the earliest marketers to embrace blogs.

“A blog is short for “web log” a sort of online personal diary where “anyone” can reveal his/her innermost thoughts, feelings, desires, dreams, ambitions, fears, hopes … you get the meaning.

Yes, it’s a website. With one small difference. It lists posts ordered by date in a personal journal format, and is easier to create than a website – just involves typing into a form and pushing the PUBLISH button”

The ease of push button publishing of most blog platforms make them one of the easiest web sites to update. On most platforms you don’t need to know HTML though it does help. If you can create a word document you can update a blog.

They are extremely easy to get started. Blogger and Word Press both can be started without much more than creating an account and clicking a few choices. Now there are huge advantages to hosting your blog on your own domain. But even there if you have cpanel hosting with Fantastico it is an almost fill in the blank process to get started. No great technical skills needed.

Search engines like blogs. They are usually updated regularly because it is easy. Compare the type and push a button to update of the average blog platform to creating an HTML page uploading it either through the cpanel or FTP. Much easier so it happens much more often. Blogs tend to have fresher content.

The search engines also like the RSS feeds that are created. Properly used feeds can allow you to generate links from other authoritative sites such as Technorati, Feedburner and others. These high PR sites create backlinks to your site which will make the search engines rate you higher. People can easily subscribe to your feed and know when you have updated your site through various RSS readers.

Finally, the biggest advantage is that blogs can be interactive. Most blog platforms allow your reader to comment on what you have written.

This does two very good things for you. You get additional updated content (which the search engines like) and you get feedback on what you have written. Which are you more likely to do? Click a comment link and leave your input on a blog or try and find a way to contact the average webmaster. Even if you do it is usually through a form or email that does not increase the content of the site.

A blog definitely gets my vote. What about you?

**********************

Mike Paetzold is the author of “7 Tips To Get Your Word Press Blog Indexed Faster” and creator of a multi-media course to allow you to easily create a customized Word Press blog – Word Press Made Easy.
