Well there is one more day left in January so time is definitely flying. I really hope your year is off to a great start and that you have set your plan and started to take action.

Hit a small speed bump this week that set me back a bit but was a great kind of speed bump. Her name is Olivia Paige she is the youngest Paetzold and arrived on Monday evening.

Because of her arrival it messed up a couple days of what I had planned this week. I did get the chance to go down and pick up my Mom and take her to see her great grand daughter. That was worth any delay in my business to me.

Of course while we were there we did need to spend some time with her older sister too who has not quite figured out if all the waiting for which she was very excited is a good thing or a bad thing.

Now there is a lesson to be learned there. Maddie was more excited last month about the arrival of her baby sister than she was about Santa coming.Now that it is here it is not quite what she had bargained for and starting your business is a lot like that.

You look forward to being your own boss and then you find out it is not easy being the boss and keeping motivated.In the end you adjust and Maddie will adjust and you come to love it but at the start it is not quite the rose garden you thought it would be.

It is the ability to just take off when little family speed bumps come along that makes it really worthwhile so take the action daily to get the freedom you desire.

5 Ways To Use PLR To Increase your Business

PLR or private label rights products are often looked down upon by a number of people but using them properly they can be a great tool to build your business.

Here are 5 different ways you can use PLR to increase your business.

1. Create your own product for sale
2. Create an ethical bribe for your list building
3. Create your email follow up series
4. Create blog content
5. Create video content

Before we get into each item you do need to understand that this will take a bit of that dang old 4 letter word – WORK. But it takes a lot less than it would to start from scratch. Someone has done the bulk of the research for you.

For an example we will discuss how you could take a few PLR products and make a complete sales and traffic system from it. This will usually take a complete PLR package or a few PLR products on the same topic. This is a model I use regularly.

Create Your Own Product

This is where most people usually start out using PLR products. You find a quality product on a topic you have researched and found to have profit potential.

Edit the book, audio or video that you got. Add in your own referral links for related products. Change up the graphics and either create or edit the sales letter. You now have a new product.

Create An Ethical Bribe

To get someone to sign up to your list you need to have something of value. I call this your ethical bribe because that is what you are doing. Bribing them to give you permission to contact them in return for what ever you are giving away. It needs to have a value that overcomes their reluctance to get more email.

Depending on what type of product you created this can be an audio interview, a free video or a report/e-book of some type.

The process is similar to creating your own product with PLR except this time you will be adding a squeeze page instead of a sales page.

Create An Email Follow Up Series

This will allow you to easily populate the follow up series for the people that have signed up through your squeeze page. You can use an article pack or split apart a report to create an ongoing series of emails each of which will send people to your sales letter or another related affiliate product.

Now you have a way to keep in touch with prospective customers and continue the conversation and build the relationship with your potential customers.

Create Blog Content

Blogs especially properly set up WordPress blogs are loved by the search engines. This can allow you to get free traffic from the search engines. Using PLR articles that you have re-written or splitting apart a PLR ebook can allow you to target the keywords for your product.

Link from each blog post to your squeeze page system and you now have a good traffic source to start building your list. Let the email follow ups send them to your product.

Create Video Content

Video through You Tube and other sites can be a great way to generate traffic. PLR video can be easily edited to create these videos or you can use article content to create a power point video by adding the article content and doing a voice over of it.

You will find that video PLR is readily available and can make great products also.

Conclusion

These are 5 ways that you can use PLR to build your business. Just make sure that you double check the rights document that comes with all PLR. Not all items called PLR have the same rights and you want to make sure that you do not violate the rights for any package.

Combine all 5 and you have a complete marketing system for your new product.

Why aren’t you using video?

Video is quickly becoming the preferred way to deliver information online. This is the result of a few things coming together that have allowed it to be easily done.

1. Most people having access to a high speed network connection
2. Cheaper bandwidth
3. Preference of customers
4. Relatively cheap software to create it

All of these things coming together at the same time have led to a huge increase in the use of video. After all most of us alive today have grown up with television all of our lives. There are exceptions but most people at least in the US under the age of 60 have.

It has become the way we expect to get information and a great way to deliver your information. Video information also has a higher perceived value.

Those facts bring us to the point of this article – Why aren’t you using video?

Is it because you…

• don’t have the technical knowledge?
• don’t like your voice?
• don’t like your looks?
• haven’t seen the need?
• can’t afford the software?

You can outsource then and have videos made which can be quite expensive or you can use the PLR (private label rights) videos that are available.

PLR allows you to take authorship of the product, edit it and use it as your own product. This will decrease your learning curve as you only need to edit the videos not create them.

Now it still takes a little bit of technical knowledge to personalize the videos but it is much easier than starting from scratch.

You will need to use software and paid software is usually more robust but you probably have the tools to work with video already on your computer. Both Mac and Windows machines come with movie making software installed. Even better though is the fact that most of the paid software such as Camtasia and Vega Studio come with a free trial period.

You can use it to create your first product then use your profits to pay for the software.

You can use videos for

• screen capture to show step by step how to do something
• power point presentations for training
• allow you to connect face to face with your audience
• and many more different ways

How you use it is not as important as that you start using it. It is becoming the choice of more and more of your customers as their preferred method of receiving information.

If you don’t supply it someone else will and you will no longer have a customer.

I wanted to do a list of the items I use regularly. These are all resources that have increased my income and are used regularly in my business. I split them into three categories.

• Scripts
• Graphics
• Education

Of the three categories education is by far the most valuable. Scripts and tools for graphics make things possible but the education aspect and applying them is the real key.

Scripts

Launch Formula Marketing – I use this regularly to run membership sites. Have a few sites running on this right now and one in the process of being created that will launch early in the new year.

It is easy to use and has been updated numerous times to make it even better and easier to use. Allows you to add in one time offers, login offers and timed content delivery. Easy to add affiliate tools and every member is automatically an affiliate.

Rapid Action Profits – Another script that is easy to set up for product sales. Built in affiliate program and can be used with a free or paid front end. Allows for a one time offer and easy to add affiliate tools.

Great way to get PLR and resell rights products up on line easily and allow you to have affiliates at the same time. Works well for monetizing your list building too.

Graphics

Primarily I outsource my graphics but …

That can be very frustrating when you need something small and you need it now. For big projects I always outsource and use a professional. Still for little things both of these have been extremely useful.

Design Dashboard – Disclaimer – I use and recommend a lot of Marlon Sanders products. They are always quality and this won’t be the only one on this list. This is the product that showed me exactly how to start creating my own graphics.

Easy step by step method shows through written and video lessons exactly how to create the graphic elements for any website. The real value though is in the explanations of why and how to use various elements to improve your results.

Instant Banner Creator – Three easy steps to creating not only banners but headers, footers, buttons and even peel away ads. Banners are an excellent traffic resource but you need to test them. This is perfect for those (like me ) that can just point and click and not suffer the learning curve of using graphics programs.

Education

Often overlooked by those looking for the next shiny object. All of the items below are references that I refer to regularly. One of the keys for me is to go back and review these regularly. It is always amazing to me what I pick up on the second, thirdand fourth times. It is very helpful too, when you start to get off track to review things again.

Evergreen Free Traffic System – If you blog this is a must have item. It not only shows you how to generate blog traffic but also article marketing and various social networks. Lots of different ways to generate free traffic to your sites. This resource probably has made me a larger return than anything I have bought all year.

PLR Video Tutorial – Not just for PLR videos but a very useful resource for anyone creating video products. It is also extremely useful for anyone using regular PLR products and resell rights products to increase your return through some of the back end add ons.

Info Product Dashboard – Another great tool from Marlon. Step by step plan to set up your full marketing funnel. Going through this will make sure that you set up a proper funnel and show you exactly how to do it.

Could easily keep going as there are numerous others but these were the top items for me. The key though is to re-consume the products that have helped you as each time you will..

• Pick up something new
• Realize what you are skipping

The latter being the key as often that one little thing skyrockets something from so so to a great success.

Have you noticed how much more video you are seeing where ever you go online?

High speed connections have made video much more popular. Using video has become almost necessary to set your self apart.

More and more products are video based. I started using video for products a couple years ago with my WordPress Made Easy product.

You are even seeing video products coming out with private label rights. Look at the recent launch of PLR Gold Videos.

You can use video in many ways but unfortunately the learning curve can kill you.

Yes there are some great software programs out there like Camtasia, Sony Vega and many others. Each has a learning curve though that can paralyze you.

Even something as simple as a video squeeze page can be too difficult for you to even consider.

If the above describes you this is a week where you will want to pay attention. There are two releases coming this week that can help you.

The first will Affiliate Power Videos which will allow you to get specific video squeeze pages for specific affiliate promotions. This will allow you to build your list while promoting a variety of affiliate programs and the cost is free.

The next will be a course from PLR Master Doug Champigny. This was a paid teleseminar he did that lasted 90 minutes on how to use PLR videos properly. Some of the little tweaks he covered can double or triple your return on selling this type of product.

He has added the full transcript of this call and videos to show you exactly how to use the various software he talks about and package the whole thing.

Most marketers miss this and very few will show you the techniques Doug uses. (There is a reason I called him the PLR Master.)

Both of these will be available later this week so pay attention here as each has the power to explode your business.
