New service at Your WordPress News. Trying to keep up with the changes in WordPress can be a bit overwhelming so I created a resource blog where you can find the latest news on WordPress drawn from a variety of sources. If you prefer you can keep up to date with the latest items by following WordPress News on Twitter.

New Recommendations

PLR Package on Boating and Scuba Diving – May be gone by the time you read this as there will only be 100 sold but in earlier posts on this blog is a plan to use this and similar items as a business in a box.

Screencast Profits – You may not know who Lon Naylor is but people like Jeff Dedrick, Mike Filsaime and many others do. Lon is out to rid the web of crappy videos and is giving away 94 minutes of free training as a start.

MBA In A Box – New free report from the guts at Stomper. Just click the button and download the report. No optin necessary. You might want to check out there videos from the link below but definitely need to grab the report.

Best of Marlon Sanders – Another free report from one of the best teachers on the net. The report is killer and Marlon is someone whom you want to be on his list. His content is great each week and will help you to improve your business.

Upcoming

Tracking Your Way To Profits has been rewritten and is in the process of being set up on a new script. The changes in Hits Connect and the new free option for it has brought about the re-write. Should be re-launching shortly.

There is a Monster in the wings. Can’t say much more at this time but if you have been having trouble putting the pieces together for your list building the Monster may just be the solution.

Thats all for this week. Putting my nose back to the grindstone to get things done and look for lots more content this and every week.

Week In Review – September 6, 2008

Saturday, September 6th, 2008

Been a very interesting week this week to say the least. The big story has to be the problems with the Stomper launch. Scheduled for Wednesday at 2 pm and it not get things fixed until late Thursday.

Despite the problems you really need to go grab their free offer (yes there is shipping and handling and an ongoing subscription to “The Net Effect“). See the reason I say that is “The Net Effect“, their new journal is something you will want each month and if you use their action items at the end of each issue will show you a good return on the investment.

Joel Comm launched his latest book “Click Here To Order” which should be arriving here Monday from Amazon. I am looking forward to reading it.

If you missed my offer for the Newsletter In A Box earlier this week you need to check it out if you are in the IM field. 100 prewritten newsletters on 10 different IM topics that you can use to provide content to your subscribers, use for blog content or use as a basis for articles.

Doug Champigny’s PLR Spectacular will be ending Monday night. If you have not checked it out do so now. These 10 books work well in conjunction with the Newsletter In A Box. You can set up each product and use a set of the newsletter articles for your follow up to help you convert your visitors to buyers.

Finally if you are not quite sure how to set up the various PLR and resale rights products that you have check out these videos for less than $10 that will walk you through the tools you need, getting your product ready, customizing your sales pages, adding download links to your files and much more.

All in all it has been a busy week and most of the items here will add value to the others to get you started.

Now I am off to my grand daughter’s first birthday and just hoping Hanna stays to the east enough to not have us all inside. Wish me luck.

As always your questions and comments are welcomed.

Who should you listen to?

Sunday, May 25th, 2008

Rick Butts has had a couple of interesting posts lately about this topic. Seems a lot of people are getting slammed when the various product launches take place but not getting much quality content. He went so far as to say you should unsubscribe from all the lists that sent you messages with Stomper Net this week.

Now I agree with a lot of what he said but think he may have picked a bad example. Stomper Net gave out a lot of great content that can help you. I like the whole idea of what Stomper offers and know quite a few friends that have used and loved Stomper Net.

The biggest point is not should you unsubscribe from everybody that sent you a message about Stomper Net but do they offer you quality information besides the promo emails?

I do agree with his point about information overload. That can be a killer for anyone, not just those starting out.

Rant

If you are starting out and don’t have a plan this will be an absolute killer. If you don’t know how you envision your business then each latest and greatest product will pull you away from your original goal.

It is okay to make changes but if you don’t know where your business is going you can’t ask and answer the key question you need to ask before buying or following anyone.

Does this help me with my plan or is this a new learning curve that will take me away from accomplishing what I am trying to do?

Now adapting is okay but…

Starting anew each week or month and you will never get anywhere.

End Rant

Seems that quite a few of the “Gurus” (I hate that word but you know who it applies to) have gone from giving out quality information and only sending promos.

Yes there may be a lesson in the copy but…

Do you ever get anything besides the information in their promo emails? Some do and those are the ones that you need to listen to.

5 years or so ago quite a few of the “Gurus” used to send a monthly newsletter that was content oriented without any blatant pitch to it.

Should you continue to subscribe if they don’t? Is what they are offering add to your business or side track it?

Well, that depends in my humble opinion. There are some that write very persuasive promos and if you are using those to help you become a better writer stick around. But…

Support the people that actually give you actionable information along with the promotions.

I am not against getting recommendations from people that have helped me. More so when they are actually using the information they are recommending. After all that is how I feed my family by selling things and if you are earning or trying to earn on line you do to.

I know at times I have gotten into the more promo than content mode and I also know that does not do service to my readers. It actually hurts my bottom line too.

Helping others will always get you where you want to go faster.

Let me know what you think about this topic by leaving your comments below.

Stomper Net releases their new software for free

Friday, May 16th, 2008

Hope that you have been following the videos from the guys at Stomper. They really move the free line. The video on ppc was absolutely phenomenal and something I haven’t seen taught anywhere else.

Get the Stomper Going Natural 3.0 Videos

If you sign up for their mailing list you will get access to this new software for free.

The video walk through showed that it basically checks all the factors for your site and then offers you up videos to show you how to improve it.

Now as always this is part of a new launch. (You knew that already I am sure ;) .) But they are going out of their way to show you the value of their services so take advantage of it.

Their videos are very valuable and will help you improve your business.

Let me know what you think after you view them. Definitely worth your time in MHO.
