Well I survived Thanksgiving and the over eating that went with it but it was worth it. We had a few for dinner and still surviving on left overs for another day or two. The good part is it is always a lot of fun to get the family together.

The bad part is my content generation is down. The turtles did not get any lessons this week but don’t worry they will be back. Even the WordPress blog suffered through the holidays but I did get a couple posts up this week. Time to get back to normal at least until the next holiday which is only a few weeks away.

The other thing that hurt content production this week was the release of a new product to help you take advantage of giveaways. It will walk you through all the technical sides of creating the pages to participate.

He is adding a transcript and a video walk through of the techniques discussed. Keep your eye open for more on this coming later in the week.

You can find products that can help you generate income through the first quarter of next year if you check these out carefully.

The last item this week is kind of the exception to the rule. I almost never promote traffic exchanges directly especially new ones. I use programs like Affiliate Funnel to do that on the back end of my marketing funnel but…

There is always an exception. Traffic Witch is that because of the owner, Guido Nussbaum and the amazing results I have received. See Guido does not come from the usual group of traffic exchange owners and this has been promoted outside of the normal group. Quite a few marketers have promoted this that are outside the normal clique so the membership has a lot of new eyeballs that are using traffic exchanges for the first time.

That is why the results have been amazing for me. This can be an excellent resource for building your list. If you are not familiar with using traffic exchanges then check out Affiliate Funnel for some great lessons on using them and other free and low cost resources. Then go join Traffic Witch and apply the lessons.

This is a big season for giveaways and I have talked about them a lot here lately. Another one just launched today -

One of the ways I add new subscribers to my list is by participating as a contributor to these types of events and you should too. Unfortunately though quite a few people don’t and I think I know why. Lack of knowledge to get things going.

See to contribute you need a gift and most of you have something you could use for that already on your hard drive. May have to search a bit through the digital dust to find them but I would bet that 98% of you have something with the rights to give it away. Obviously the gift isn’t the problem.

You do need to construct a couple of pages to participate. You need a page with your autoresponder form on it, a page to send people to about verifying their email address and finally a download page to give people your gift. This is where people get stopped.

These pages are not hard to create and I will be putting together a quick report on this with sample pages over the week end. Look for more information then and you too can easily participate in these events.

Subscribers

Now lets talk about why you should be a subscriber to these types of events. Just took a quick look through the latest one Santas Big Giveaway and found these topics for help just on the first page or two alone.

• PLR articles and how to book
• Social marketing – Stumble upon, Twitter, Facebook
• Website templates
• Adsense information
• Graphics software
• SEO information
• Blogging information
• Affiliate marketing tips
• and much more

The key is to get the things that you need more information or can use right now. See if you don’t do Adsense that information will not move your business forward but cause you to start a new learning curve. Keep your focus but if for example you are using PLR as a focus of your business then the information on

• Website templates
• Graphics software

Would probably be useful for you. If you are already creating sites and looking to increase your traffic from the search engines then maybe the SEO information would be valuable.

Much as I love and recommend blogging if you are not blogging and using that now or planning to add it in the next month then don’t grab the blogging information. You won’t be using it so why tempt your self to go down a new learning curve.

Now if you have not created your business plan and know what will help you and what will cause you to lose focus grab the Business Building Series in the upper right part of this page and start there before you start cluttering up your hard drive.

More and more people are looking at the current economic climate and looking at the internet as a supplement to their income. Bad economic times leave people worrying but it also drives more people to look for those ways to supplement their income.

Some will be looking to replace their jobs but even more will be like my step son. He knows that I work from home full time but never had an interest until now. Why now? He just lost all of his overtime.

Now for the last 5 years he has worked overtime each week. Now it has disappeared. Before that happened he did not want to take any extra time to build anything on line. Now that he is looking at what amounts to a pay cut this now looks interesting.

He is not alone. At a Halloween party last month quite a few people wanted to know how you can actually make money online. Same crew that I see each year but this year the interest has increased tremendously.

One of the ways you can start to reach these people can be through the giveaways. Most people start their research looking for free information. Getting your product in front of these new people and having them subscribe to your list can really help you and you can help them.

I will be taking part in quite a few of them over the next month. The Thanksgiving Giveaway and Santa’s Big Giveaway are just two. Are you going to participate in these type events?

Most people that I talk to in various conferences online and see posting in forums have what they need to participate but may be missing the knowledge to use what they have.

Here is what you need.

1. An autoresponder account – I recommend AWeber
2. Hosting account – I recommend Zoot Host
3. A PLR product that you can give away

Anyone that is serious has the web hosting and autoresponder and most people already have PLR products cluttering their hard drive. The big problem is not knowing how to properly use the PLR.

If that describes you take the time to check out PLR Video Tutorials from Doug Champigny. He can walk you through what to do and if you don’t have any PLR he will also give you 12 bonus PLR e-books too.
