The Power Of Email Swaps

Email swaps are one of the easiest ways to power up your list building. Now you do need to have a list to start but once you have an existing list of 500 or more you can start using this technique.

The concept is simple and that is part of what makes it so powerful.

You email your subscribers a free offer from your partner and they email their subscribers about your free offer. If you have similar size lists or one of you can segment your list to match clicks you can add quite a few subscribers quite quickly.

Their are a variety of sites where you can find partners looking to do this and as long as you both have offers that match your subscriber base it is a win – win for both partners.

Now the down side to this is locating partners and when you find a good partner it is always best if you can swap more than once. To do this though you need more than one offer.

Now creating your offers can be quite time consuming. You need to create an ethical bribe, compose a quality squeeze page then set up your other pages to complete the system.

Well 57 years have passed since I first appeared and I will be taking the rest of the day off to celebrate once this is finished.

Private Label Rights – How To Use Them

Got an email response this week from a subscriber asking an important question and making a statement that made me think it was time to address this topic.

Now I am not quoting directly but I had sent an email out about a private label rights offering. The question was why would anyone want to use private label rights, doesn’t using PLR create problems with duplicate content and isn’t there a lot of crap out there.

Well unfortunately the answer to the latter part of the question is yes there is a lot of crap, junk or garbage out there. That does create a bad reputation for PLR as a viable help to growing your business.

That is one of the reasons I created a special blog to highlight how to use PLR effectively and to highlight those that create quality PLR products at The PLR Secrets. The key is to find quality producers and I list some of my favorites on that blog. Start with quality and the rest becomes not only easier but you end up with a better result.

The first thing to understand about PLR is that it is not a just drop in item. You should not grab an article pack and use it as is for blog content or website content. That might create a problem with duplicate content but it would not take much to adapt it and reword a bit and then use it.

Never use PLR as is to submit articles to article directories. You can rewrite them and use them as a basis for your own articles to submit. This way your research and your basic structure is done and it is easy to do.

The real way that PLR will help you is to use it for other purposes. Take an article pack and create a giveaway report out of it. Now there is no duplicate content problem and you have a way to build your list.

Use that article package as the basis of an e-course or follow up email series. Convert them into videos or audios. Submit the videos to the sharing sites and the audios to the podcast sites. These are great ways to generate more traffic. All of these are easy to do if you know how and you can get step by step instructions on how to do that in Sunday Night Cash Plan.

With PLR products you will need to edit them a bit. Add in your own graphics and personalize the whole package. Tweak the sales letter. Most sales letters for PLR products are weak and you can make them better easily. If you are unsure how to take a product package to a product for sale I recommend you check out PLR Tutorial Videos.

The key is that private label rights can save you time but you do need to put some effort into it. That effort can and will come back to you many times if you use them properly.

Week In Review – July 24, 2010

Another week is in the books. Has been extremely hot and humid here this week. The dog days of summer sure have not slowed things down.

There has been a HUGE amount of quality PLR items released this week. This is a perfect time of year for this because you can get these totally set up and running right now to take advantage of the up tick come September and the kids going back to school.

All week here I have been running a series on article marketing so make sure to check out the series below.

Because I could not find a quality product for the Saturday Seven I decided to do something a bit different this week. Repurposing content like articles is an easy way to generate even more traffic from your efforts.

Week In Review – June 26, 2010

Where does the time go? When I typed in the address today I realized 2010 is just about half over. Seems like yesterday I was writing about the new year. Guess I really am getting old because the time sure does fly. Hope you are having fun.

It does show me that it is time to really ramp things up for the second half of the year.

This has been a very busy week for me as it was a great teaching week. Did the first conference for my upgraded members at Profitable Blog Steps and covered some great tips with them. The replay is available in the members area.

Jerry Reeder and I did our weekly conference for Get Referrals Fast and it was a fun topic called “The Real Secret Of Getting Results Like Clockwork”. The replay is available in our List Building Conferences training center. You can get the password to access it here.

Finally I made the decision to get rid of the Saturday Seven I ran each week. There will still be special weekend deals like I have this week on Backlink Flood but it will no longer be a regular feature.

It has been an extremely busy week. So much for the summer slow down at least here. Things keep coming fast and furious.

My son is doing well and I may get down Monday to get out fishing with him. I am working Gizmo (one of my turtles) to the bone at least he says (should never have snuck out of the tank is what I say.)

WordPress just released the 3rd release candidate for the new version 3.0 with a haiku (look for more in the Sunday Rant on that topic) and it was a very busy week for training our members at Get Referrals Fast. We had 3 conferences this past week including our monthly training for our upgraded members where we go into more advanced topics.

Regular readers know that more and more I am using and recommending PLR products. There is a problem though and that is quality is not universal. Some people create real crap. I will be starting a new series and introducing you to the people that I have found that put out quality PLR items so look for that to start this week.

Week In Review – June 5, 2010

What a week. Been some highs, some lows and then some more highs.

Started with the Memorial Day Parade in town and our annual family get together. Always a good time to celebrate and remember those that have given their all for us.

Follow that up with the high of launching a new product with Profitable Blog Steps and by Wednesday it was a great week. Always a lot of work to get a launch ready but it always is exciting so the energy level is always high. But Thursday was hanging over me.

Thursday started low with lots of worry while I waited and worked from the surgery waiting room while my son was having a tumor removed from his brain. Hard to concentrate but very glad I could be there with his wife. Then the call that the surgery was over and he was in recovery.

More waiting until we could finally see him and know that everything was still working. What a high when we finally got to interact with him and everything worked and his vision was good as they were working where the vision and motor skills are located.

So been a week of highs and lows here but all is well now. Lets get to the blogs. Hope you had a great week.

Week In Review – May 22, 2010

Been another busy week here as summer is just around the corner. Next week end is the “beginning” of the summer season here with Memorial Day arriving. Conventional wisdom says that things online slow down then but I think that is more a matter of our efforts slowing down then a truth.

After all the weather is nicer, it is light later in the evening and there are a lot more outdoor activities and people going on vacation. But…

That only applies to the northern hemisphere because the southern hemisphere is going into winter time with shorter days and less to do.

Your effort is the key no matter what time of year it is.

One of the keys to growing your business is having your own product/s. It gives you a lot of ways to leverage your efforts and using PLR (private label rights) to have your own products is one of the easiest ways.

Having your own products and building your list are the keys to growing your business. Keep your focus and the summer can be an excellent time for you.

It has been a busy week and the weather here set record highs. I even got a chance to sneak out to the driving range and boy was it ever ugly. Unlike Tiger a few months off really hurts my mediocre game.

Things are picking up and looks like the email inbox will be overflowing this week so be prepared to see quite a few launches over the next week or two.
