PLR or private label rights products are often looked down upon by a number of people but using them properly they can be a great tool to build your business.
Here are 5 different ways you can use PLR to increase your business.
Create your own product for sale
Create an ethical bribe for your list building
Create your email follow up series
Create blog content
Create video content
Before we get into each item you do need to understand that this will take a bit of that dang old 4 letter word – WORK. But it takes a lot less than it would to start from scratch. Someone has done the bulk of the research for you.
For an example we will discuss how you could take a few PLR products and make a complete sales and traffic system from it. This will usually take a complete PLR package or a few PLR products on the same topic. This is a model I use regularly.
Create Your Own Product
This is where most people usually start out using PLR products. You find a quality product on a topic you have researched and found to have profit potential.
Edit the book, audio or video that you got. Add in your own referral links for related products. Change up the graphics and either create or edit the sales letter. You now have a new product.
To get someone to sign up to your list you need to have something of value. I call this your ethical bribe because that is what you are doing. Bribing them to give you permission to contact them in return for what ever you are giving away. It needs to have a value that overcomes their reluctance to get more email.
Depending on what type of product you created this can be an audio interview, a free video or a report/e-book of some type.
The process is similar to creating your own product with PLR except this time you will be adding a squeeze page instead of a sales page.
This will allow you to easily populate the follow up series for the people that have signed up through your squeeze page. You can use an article pack or split apart a report to create an ongoing series of emails each of which will send people to your sales letter or another related affiliate product.
Now you have a way to keep in touch with prospective customers and continue the conversation and build the relationship with your potential customers.

Create Blog Content
Blogs especially properly set up WordPress blogs are loved by the search engines. This can allow you to get free traffic from the search engines. Using PLR articles that you have re-written or splitting apart a PLR ebook can allow you to target the keywords for your product.
Link from each blog post to your squeeze page system and you now have a good traffic source to start building your list. Let the email follow ups send them to your product.

Create Video Content
Video through You Tube and other sites can be a great way to generate traffic. PLR video can be easily edited to create these videos or you can use article content to create a power point video by adding the article content and doing a voice over of it.
You will find that video PLR is readily available and can make great products also.

Conclusion
These are 5 ways that you can use PLR to build your business. Just make sure that you double check the rights document that comes with all PLR. Not all items called PLR have the same rights and you want to make sure that you do not violate the rights for any package.
Combine all 5 and you have a complete marketing system for your new product.

Once again Doug Champigny has released a great PLR package for the pet niche . This time there are 3 PLR e-books with sales letters, and 10 articles for each for 3 different aspects of the pet niche.
The topics are

Dog Breeding
When deciding whether or not a PLR product is worth the effort I crank up the software and see if I can find free traffic to send to these and is it buying traffic or as my buddy would say just lookey loos. After all besides being old and bald I am cheap .
I prefer for these types of products to set up a blog, add some good content, submit some articles and if I did the right keyword research I can have a good flow of traffic going.
Next I want to see what else is for sale out there. For this I like to use PayDotClickBank Alert as if you upgrade (and it is only $25 for the year)you can sort through both Clickbank and PayDotCom at one time. That quickly shows me quite a few products that I can add as resources to the PLR book.
Running the keyword research shows me a minimum of 12 keywords that will generate traffic and are easily obtainable for pet birds up to 40 keywords fitting the same parameters with breeding dogs and owning cats coming in at 25. Grab the package and I’ll send you the keywords I found.
So a few minutes research shows me that each of these can be profitable and look to be worth the effort. If you already have a site related to any of these topics this is a must grab.
If you are looking to start some sites in the pet niche this is a great way to get started. So if this is for you here is your action plan. Remember that you need to take action to benefit.
Do a quick edit of the first ebook you like and add your resources. Decide if this would be a better product or a list building ethical bribe. (See Niche Affiliate System for a more complete how to on that.)
Decide to go grab a new keyword rich domain or whether you already have an appropriate domain you can use.
Edit the sales page or change it to a squeeze page and upload your pages to the domain you pick.
Add a blog on the domain and link to the sales page from each post
Use the articles that come with the package to start your blog content (Rewrite them quickly to be unique ) and start submitting the articles to the article directories.
Add in more articles for the keywords you want to rank for and blog them and submit them.
Rinse and repeat with the other two products.
Track your results and you can add other traffic sources like Squidoo, Hub Pages and podcasts if you want to step it up even more.
Last Tuesday a new product was released – Resell Rights Fortune . Now no big new there as new sites open every day. Just look at your email any day and you will see lots of new things every day.
The rarity despite the hype is to find a new product that really changes the landscape of internet marketing. Resell Rights Fortune is just such a product and that is not hype. I grabbed my membership as soon as it launched.
On the face it is a huge resell rights/private label rights membership site. A very, very big one. The game changer though is two fold.
The first is the data base sort feature. I have belonged to a variety of membership sites and the problem was always finding the product I was looking for with the exact rights I needed.

If you are a product creator then you can use the items to add bonuses to your product offerings. After all adding value to your offer is the key to making more sales.
If you have membership sites you can use the products to create bonuses, as login offers, to build an OTO or even as your content (with the appropriate rights).

Yesterday I talked about an easy set up of a new list building opportunity.
Not wanting to be like the shoemaker’s family that has no shoes I decided after lunch Sunday to do exactly what I had told you, my reader, to do. I went to Go Daddy and bought a domain.
The time was 1;16 pm per the email receipt I got. It is now 3:37 pm Sunday as I lay out this information.
I just received the first confirmed opt in from my very first tweet which I sent at 2;52 pm.
So since I started at about 1pm today I have quickly edited the PLR report by adding a Twitter section that it lacked, linked to a couple items inside the report and added an author bio that points to other products I have.
Then I set up my autoresponder account, added the form to the page and uploaded it. In addition I created two other pages a verification page and a download page. I added bonuses to both of those pages and a discount offer on a product to the download page. Between the bonus products and the discount offer I should be generating cash almost immediately from this. That does not take into consideration any of the land mine links in the actual report.
So the front end system is all done. I have installed the blog but still need to add the theme to match the look of the site and do a quick re-write of the articles targeting the keywords I dug out this morning with Market Samurai and am offering as a bonus. I will tweet the offer a couple times a day using the techniques from Advanced Twitter Marketing for immediate traffic to the page.
Will be posting the articles to the blog over the next few days and get some others targeting the rest of the list written for me. The day after they are posted I will be submitting them to the directories. This will help generate long term traffic for me to this lead generation system.
So I will spend about an hour finsihing things up and in basically 4 hours time have added another lead source to my arsenal.
If you took three times the length of time I did to set this up (say 12 hours) and did this once a week how long would you take to start generating leads and cash each day?
You can take this system and use any PLR reports to do just this. I really like this one on Social Networking PLR Pack because it is useful for just about niche.

The new PLR package from Doug Champigny has one component that I think everyone needs. It is the Social Networking pack. It includes the report, squeeze page and a matching blog theme.
This is the perfect item to add an additional list building system.
Edit the PLR report adding in your resources and you as the author, add your autoresponder code to the squeeze page and then set up a blog behind the squeeze page.
You can drive traffic a couple of ways. If you have been building your Twitter followers using the tips in Advanced Twitter Marketing this is a report that most of your followers would be interested in no matter what niche.
Once it is set up add it to the rotation to tweet to give away the free report letting your followers know about every few hours. This way you can move them to your opt in list.
While you are doing that add articles on the keywords that fit the niche. A quick run through Market Samurai shows 20 topics for blog posts that are rankable easily with good traffic. Take that list and use the new Wonder Wheel from Google and you can easily double the topics. Add a signature file to the article sending people to your free report. Post them to your blog always linking back to your squeeze page.
Submit the articles to the article directories using Article Marketer or your favorite submission service and you can generate even more traffic..
Follow the plan and you have an ongoing list building system that can continue to add subscribers. You never have enough of those in your arsenal do you?

We are now half way through May and the year 2009 seems to be going much faster that I would like. Still not getting as much done as I would like. This was brought to mind by a good friend Joel Osborne and his twitter stream. (You should follow Joel for inspiration.)
He has been sending out quotes like “Have you pushed yourself this week to go beyond your comfort zone?” and “Have you taken massive action today to grow your business?”. Now as much as everyone of us would love the big red Staples Easy Button for our business we all know that it is the action we take that will decide how well we do.
Enough lecture on to the news. Not much from the blogs as I have been concentrating on two new releases at least one of which should go live before next week.
3 Hour Ads - This product is a rarity in that I recommend that everyone get this. Period. Copy is the key to working online whether it is selling your product or building a subscriber list and at less than $20 this covers a few very important parts as well or better than any other copy product I have bought and there have been a few.
PLR 3 Pack -Accused my friend Doug Champigny of going a bit nuts when he released this package as anyone of the three packages is worth more than what he is asking for all 3. These all inclusive packs are perfect for getting started in any of the three niches. – Home Decorating, Tattoos and Law Of Attraction. Think some people have been a bit leery because dealing with 3 packages at once may seem overwhelming. Like anything else just eat it up a bite at a time.
Ticket To Wealth Newsletter – Alan Bechtold is one of the people that every time I go to an event that he is at I make sure to sit down and talk to. He is someone that I always find a money making idea from each time we talk. Check out his newsletter at the price it is a steal.

Yesterday I wrote about the package of 3 PLR products that Doug Champigny had put up in his PLR Spectacular. That seemed to bring about some questions so I wanted to go through exactly how to use one of these.
For this example I will use the Guide To Tattoos. First the down and dirty way.
It would be very easy to have this up and going in a day from total scratch.
First go do some quick keyword research. For me I use Market Samurai but you can use free resources it will just take you a bit longer. Using that I found 12 keyword phrases all with good commercial viability and relatively easy to rank for.
Go find a domain based on your keyword research. Use that to host your site. If you need hosting go check out the Ultimate Business Center and grab a domain and affiliate software for one low price. Set up your domain on your hosting.
Upload the sales pages pages and download pages that come with the package. (You will need to edit them quickly first.) Install a blog in a keyword folder. For example say I found a domain called thetattosite.com I could put the blog in a folder called tattoo-information or tattoo-articles, etc.
Use the articles with the package as your initial blog posts. Link from the blog to your sales page. Do that and you are up and running in very little time. Add in additional traffic from article marketing and you have a viable system.
Once you have it up and running now to fine tune it.
Change the graphics to look a bit different. If you are competent with photo shop or Gimp not a big deal otherwise pay for new graphics.
Spend some time looking at other affiliate products out in the tattoo marketplace. I did a quick check using PayDotClickbankAlert.com (you do need to be upgraded to use that) but you could do it manually at the various affiliate programs and came up with 41 products. Some of those have to be suitable and may be able to be added as additional resources to your book.
Next add more content you can either write it your self, do a search for tattoo plr articles (I found a few see screen capture below)
Use those as a basis to keep adding content to your blog. Rewrite them to make them original and submit them to the article directories always linking back to your site.
Finally take some of the plr articles and create a report to give away for an optin and use others to create a follow up series using the tips outlined here before in the affiliate marketing series and promote your product and the best of the affiliate products you have found.

All in all it only takes a decision to take action to use just one of these products that is offered in the PLR Spectacular 3 pack to make a good return on the small investment.
