Traffic exchanges – A good way to build your list or is it?

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Traffic exchanges have been a very good way for me to start my list building efforts but…

At the time I was looking for subscribers interested in internet marketing topics. Now I still use traffic exchanges for those lists to generate subscribers every day. I do not use them for my other lists on niche topics like horse training, body piercing, etc.

So if you are looking to build IM lists keep reading but if you are working in other niches save your time as the rest of this is not for you.

Well you are still reading so I will do a bad thing and assume you are looking to build IM lists.

Now let’s be very clear in that I almost never spend any time surfing a traffic exchange. It can be a good way to generate subscribers if you are totally broke but only until you create a system that will allow you to earn from each subscriber through the signup process.

Once you can do that let that money pay to buy credits in the traffic exchanges. As long as you can generate as much as it costs you per subscriber as you spend your have no cost or actually very little cost. I do spend 15 to 20 minutes a month buying credits. If I had to surf for all the subscribers I generate it would not be a good use of my time.

Spend your time improving your system. There is a great new report just released from John Guanzon and Winter Perkins that will show you how to set up your system called TE List Building.

Follow those steps and once you have your system you never need surf again.

To tweak it you will need some tools as tracking and knowing your results is the key to using this type of system. TE Toolbox will allow you to track your results so you know what is working and which traffic exchanges are working for you.

Add in their rotator for split testing your pages and their thank you page rotator whcih will allow you to text different offers on your system to maximize your revenue and you are on your way.

Oh by the way did I mention you can grab both TE List Building and TE Toolbox for free? Yes there are advantages for upgrading (aren’t there always?) but you can get started now no matter what is in your wallet.

After all action and implementation are what make knowledge valuable.

Have never truly understood Traffic Exchanges though I do like your idea for buying credits instead of surfing. Surfing is very time consuming so I think that was one of the reasons I gave up on it. Will have to check out the tools you have mentioned here. Thanks.

Yes I too was turned off by traffic exchanges by the need to surf, but I am seeing that they can in fact generate clicks. So while not a major source of clicks, they do add to the stream, and every little bit helps.

Your very right… we need to set up a working system so that we are no longer trading our time for money. If we can automate the process by either outsourcing or paying for advertising, but also be making back that money, then that’s a winning combination and you can keep doing it over and over again.
