Giveaways, PLR and List Building
Last night because Jon Olson was enroute to Vegas (yes I am jealous) so I oversaw the Swat meeting for Captain members. If you are not an upgraded member of Swat Traffic the weekly meetings are worth the price of the upgrade by themselves.
We kicked around a few ideas for topics and decided to talk about Giveaways and List Building. This is probably one of the most overlooked ways to get your list building started.
Now you need to have the following to participate in the giveaways.
- A product
- An autoresponder
- A squeeze page system
- A host to put it on
- SIgn up link for a giveaway
Lets walk through the steps one at a time.
Product – if you have one fine but if not the easiest way is to use a PLR product. Right now until Sunday you can get a bunch for free at The Free PLR Giveaway. Personalize this and you have the first part done.

Autoresponder – My personal recommendation is Aweber for a great variety of reasons but primarily for deliverability. Getting your email delivered is the prime feature and there’s is one of the best.
Squeeze page system -The easiest way is to grab “How To Build A Lead Pulling Squeeze Page” if you are not comfortable creating your own. That will give you the 4 pages you need to build your system and some great tips on how to monetize it. This can make using giveaways profitable from the very beginning.
A host to put it on – You need to be able to host pages and this means you have to have web hosting. (You really need web hosting to have an online business no matter what you may have heard.) You can get good solid hosting at a reasonable price at Zoot Host and if you need a domain you can get that there too.

That is the steps you need to take advantage of these promotions and start building your list this way.
Note – There is one thing that I skipped that will make the difference in how well these work for you. The email follow up series. You need to make sure that you are targeting this list with the topic you used for your giveaway.
