Just wanted to do a quick update on the Only Submitter that I recommended a few days ago. Here are some stats.
For a test I used it on a brand new Squidoo Lens that I had started. The lens was started on 4/6. Today the lens is 2257 out of 117,000 + sites. It is #58 in SEO & Affiliate Marketing. It is averaging 10 or more visitors a day.
Now part of that can be attributed to my use of some of Bob Jenkin’s techniques which he teaches at Squidoo Secrets. Setting the lens up properly definitely does help and a few things I have learned there makes a difference in my results.
Normally though I start linking back to a new lens by mentioning them on one or more of my blogs. This one I haven’t linked to from any of them until today in this post. Those links do tend to give the traffic a boost so I purposely avoided doing that.
The reason was I wanted to see what the Only Submitter would do and have an even playing field. Not everyone has a network of blogs to use.
The only promotion I have done for this is to use the Only Submitter and submit this lens to about 30 social bookmarking sites.
Yesterday I used it on an existing lens and received more traffic yesterday than I had in the last week. That should only improve over the next few days,
My next test with it will be to add the podcasts I do each day at Word Press Made Easy blog to the podcast directories and bookmark that blog at the social bookmarking sites also. Early results show that this is a great tool and should be added to your list of resources.
I have known that I should be doing these things but could never get the time to gather the sites and deal with all the copying and pasting. Now that the time is reduced it has become doable for me.
