Massive Action – Will you take it

  • Sharebar

One of the things I mentioned in the Week In Review yesterday was how Joel Osborne has been railing about taking Massive Action on Twitter. It is something that I have done in the past at times then unfortunately I sit back and get fat and lazy.

Well it is time to get back to it. Every time I have taken massive action it has paid off and it is too easy to get laid back. I have 3 projects (which truthfully is 2 too many) close to being ready and a bunch more in the idea bin.

Now it is time to focus and get one done and going. Only then to look at the next one. Wasting way too much time so it is time to kick it in gear.

Are you doing the same thing?

Make a goal this week to take JUST ONE of the many items that you have on your hard drive and make it go live. Start promoting it.

It can be a MRR product you bought, a good PLR product that you have all these plans for or a project that you have 85% complete but are just tweaking because after all it has to be perfect.

It is time to develop the Nike mind set and Just Do It. You can always make it better as it goes along. Time to get rid of paralysis by analysis.

I will be following that advice the question is will you join me?

Well off to work.

    Mike,

That is what I have been doing, trying to focus more on completing some of the many things I started. And I’m trying to focus also in making certain tasks more easy by setting up templates and organizing my data in an easier to find structure, so I can quickly find templates, text and pictures fot copying and pasting.

I also found that there are more and more complete PLR and MRR products available. So if you prepare yourself, then you van modify and personalize those products very quickly.

I just had massive action thrown on me … or, would that be focused action?

A while back I spoke with an IM colleague and was invited to be a guest speaker to her group on a teleconference. My reply was “sure, and you know what, how about if I give away a report on the topic to all who register” She liked the idea and we set a temporary date … at least I thought it was temporary to be confirmed by her. WOW! Was I surprised when just days before the “scheduled” date she contacted me to make sure that all was on track.

My first reaction was to tell her NO… I had not heard back from her, had not even started the report & perhaps the call should be scheduled for another time.

    Then something kicked in. Commitment.
    - I could not let her down. she had already promoted me to her group so I had to be the guest speaker.
    - I could not her attendees down, I had to have a report to deliver.

Razor sharp focus came into being. All else was put on the backburner. Within days I had not a report, but a full e.book. I re-read it and it looked like a good “beta” for a course with all the options so on the call I called it that and asked for the recipients to give me feedback as they apply what they learn.

    Focused massive action paid off!

I like that idea of the focused action and want to work on that. I have some projects that I need to finish and I will be working on them one at a time. Thanks for the kick in the pants action.

There is no better advice that can be offered to online marketers, Mike – set a goal and stay on it til it’s achieved! We all start to slack off from time to time, or get caught up in day-to-day maintenance and fall behind on our marketing. Thanks for the re-focus!

Thanks for this advice. Last week I made it a goal to get one of Doug’s projects implemented and I did. Still have some work and some knowledge to acquire but it is well along. This week I plan to concentrate on one of my products and get it out. I totally agree that focus is important and until one does focus things are not likely to get done. There are just too many distractions.
