Are you adaptable?
I am sitting in the waiting room at Geisinger Hospital in the Endoscopy area. Maude is having a colonoscopy and we had to travel about 50 miles to get here. Now I have spent many hours waiting here as Maude had open heart surgery a few years back.
That was a summer where I spent hours and hours here. Back then they did not have wireless access here but I was still able to use my time profitably.
The original ebook portion of my WordPress Made Easy product and the rough draft of the sales letter were all written sitting in waiting rooms here. Unfortunately I know this huge complex all too well.
I do much prefer being here for items that are preventive like today rather than the bulk of the time spent here a few years back.
The key is that we left the house today at 9 am and will probably get back about 3pm. While I am spending a couple hours waiting here I can still be working.
I came with a plan because a few years back I could not get internet access inside the hospital. The plan quickly got adapted once I saw that I could get online. Now I could work as if I was sitting at my desk.
Had I not been able to get access I would have taken the time to do some writing. Before I left I had opened up my to do list and made a quick list of the things I could complete without internet access.
Once I found I had access then it was back to my normal list of to do items. With an internet connection and Go To My PC I can do anything except video editing from right here.
The key is that I knew today I would be sitting here and I wanted to make sure that I could adapt to whatever situation I found here.
Are you adapting to the time constraints and schedule that you have to take advantage of your time or are you complaining that things are interfering with your schedule?

Great point, Mike – while we all think of preparing to work from the road while traveling to conventions, seminars and other live Internet marketing events, it’s often the day-to-day waiting time that we lose. By being prepared better we can adapt our time to stay productive in most situations, often turning boring wait times into productivity centers.

Really good idea to have a plan for getting things done no matter the situation. I am learning some really good things from you there and they are much appreciated. I hope all goes well and you and Maude will be back home soon and you back at work. Thanks.

Good idea Mike. This is where the new iPad and other devices like smart phones come in very handy.
