Week In Review – October 3, 2009
We are now in month 10 of the year 2009. Where is the time going? Guess I am just getting older faster
Not many blog posts this week because at the end of each quarter I spend time reviewing exactly what has been working and what has not. Taking the time to do this allows me to continue to improve what I am doing.
I do recommend that you make sure that you are tracking your results and step back on occasion to see exactly what is working and to improve those things that are not.
It has been a bit disappointing this week. I like people that take action and it seems that is tough to do for some. I offered a bribe of any of my products for one person to get my readers to take action and no one has claimed it If you are an action takers check out this post and respond.

I like that idea of stepping back and evaluating what has worked and what has not for the past quarter. It makes it a lot easier to understand where you are. Really need to incorporate that into my task. Thanks for the nugget. And again thanks for the weekly update.

Hi Mike,
Actually it seems that time goes faster when you get older…
Looking back and update strategies is often overlooked.
Week in Review helps and certainly helps me catching up on what I missed.

That’s a great idea you have to keep checking your business to see what is and what isn’t working. I think too many people (myself included many times) just keep doing the same thing. Sure we success at it, but I wonder how much more could be had if we looked into how we do it, there could be a lot of money left on the table.

Taking a step back is a great way to see what you’ve achieved and what needs to improve. I don’t do that often enough.
Like you, Mike, I like to take a quarterly view of what’s working and what isn’t, then I compare them to the previous quarter and the same quarter last year. Are the numbers up or down, and why…
Often I find I’ve improved one area considerably, but have let something else that was working slide, or some tweak I’ve made has lowered my results in some area. By keeping what is working now & replacing what is worse I get an accurate picture of where we’re at, and can then plan what to improve next.

My challenge is sticking with a specific daily schedule ; I often have several projects running concurrently and it’s quite tempting to dedicate the whole day to only one of them.
I’ll get the hang of it….

Can it really be that we are in the 10th month already? And yet week after week you have been very productive with the content and offers that you have made available to your readers. We can all learn from you in the area of taking action. But then after learning we need to take action. That’s the hard part.
