Week In Review – February 14, 2009
First and foremost I hope you and yours are having a Happy Valentines Day. The bad part is it means we are half way through the second month of the year. What have you accomplished and are you staying focused. Has been a problem for me and I need to fix it now. What about you?
First to the blogs then to what is new.
WordPress Made Easy
- Gravatar, branding and you
- WordPress 2.7.1 released – try the auto upgrade
- How do niche blogs work?
- How many plugins do I need?
- Plugin conflicts – How to resolve them
The post on gravatars is important if you regularly comment on other blogs and you should be
. Also make sure you have upgraded if you are using WordPress 2.7.1.

Whats new this week
Unless you have had your head buried in the sand somewhere you have seen Frank Kern is up to a new launch. I am not participating and don’t plan to buy the product but you really need to study his process. You always get some great insight with his launches so pick the favorite person in your email box that is promoting it and check out the process.
Ockham’s Razor Income System was launched by Marlon Sanders. I loved the product for me but did a review of Ockham’s Razor Income System and strongly urge you to read that before considering the product. It is a super value for me but… You need some background before you try it.
WordPress Q and A on Blog Talk Radio has been scheduled for this coming Tuesday, February 17 at 7 pm est. More info coming but mark the date and time down.
I will also be doing a teleseminar with Jason Fladlien for his tribute to his younger brother Ryan he is running. It will be on Monday February 23rd at 8 pm est. Topics will be…
- Types of blogs
- What to do before you start
- Setting up the blog properly
Along with a q and a session at the end. It will be all content and you need to participate in Ryan Tribute to attend and this will be in addition to the value listed on the page. That is not an affiliate link and my time for this is part of my contribution to what Jason is doing in the memory of Ryan.
Finally good old Twitter – Joel Comm released his new book Twitter Power on Amazon this week (I am about half way through it and it is good) and will be doing a Tweetathon on February 19th from noon to midnight est. on Twitter and Ustream to raise funds for http://waterislife.com check it out and plan to attend.
Thats all for this week now off to get more work done and keep focused.
As always your questions and comments are appreciated.
Mike Paetzold

What better example could there be of why you’re so successful online, Mike? You’ve produced a TON of new material in the last week, all of it extremely helpful to your target audience.
Keep up the great work!

Mike,
You’ve had a busy week.
Thanks for your efforts.
I implemented Gravatar using your suggestions.
I tried to get WordPress 2.7.1 to work, ran into problems. Will have to try later.
Your post on plugins was very useful.
Thanks,
Lonnie

Glad I checked out the Ockham’s Razor material. I was impressed at how much I learned just listening to Marlon Sanders sales pitch. Now there’s an approach to marketing that has obvious benefits.

This week has been a bit busy hasn’t it? It’s always good to look back and see just how much you have done and if you have met your weekly goals.
