The week in review - October 27, 2007

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

This is a new feature that I have been thinking about adding here for a while. There is a ton of information each and every week and I figured that a weekly review should be a valuable asset. Let me know if you agree or disagree.

We are in the midst of the busiest launch time of the year. Last year at this time was absolutely nuts and this year seems to be even busier if that is possible. This can cause severe information overload.

Below I will give my take on what I have seen of interest. The key though is for you to have a business plan then ask this question - Does this fit and improve what I am trying to do? If the answer is yes then give the offer serious consideration. If it will be a distraction or is not something you need RIGHT NOW ignore it. Keep your focus on your business and what you need to go forward. That being said here is what caught my attention in my inbox this week.

Nitty Gritty Marketing - A membership site from Jermaine Griggs. Jermaine has an interesting story and has created a multi million dollar business in an obscure niche (Playing piano by ear). He has overdelivered on this and I really like this site. If you want to get a great education on marketing check it out.

Lead Supreme - A high ticket lead generating system. Lots of buzz but not something that fits my business at this time. This is a relaunch of an improved version of software that has gotten some great reviews.

Profitable Magic - Actually a pre launch of a new product that will be released on Halloween night. Ben Mack is doing nightly teleseminars from now til then and the content of these is worth your time to listen.

The Slow Trickle Assassin - A very nice ebook on generating small flows of traffic from a variety of Web 2.0 sources. An easy step by step plan. Implemented in this manner the small trickles can become an ongoing flood. If you are looking to increase traffic and willing to put in a bit of effort this is an excellent guide. I had the author on the podcast this week so you can give a listen to uinderstand more about how this works.

Expect to keep hearing about these programs in your inbox. Hopefully, this will help you decide if these are for you and save you some time.

Like I said earlier this is an experiment and your comments will decide whether or not this becomes a regular feature here. Let me know.

Yes Mike, This is something everyone could use. There are so many programs being promoted that it can be very confusing. People new to internet marketing could really benefit from this kind of information.

    Hi Mike,
I think this is a great feature. It will certainly help me sort through the tidal wave of information on new products that comes into my inbox every week. Thank you for asking!

Great idea Mike. Been thinking of doing something like this as well. I know it’s a common question that I get asked — how to make sense out of the bazillion emails every day.

And by the way, thanks Ben for your inclusion of free training. You always give great stuff. (The link is actually Ben’s name in case you can’t find it in the post).

Keep up the great work, Mike!

Mike, I also think this is a great idea! It will help all of us fairly “newbie” types sort some of it out. And you are right, my inbox (es)! were flooding with all of this plus more! Thanks for all you do.

    Mike,

This is a good feature, however I had already heard about most of these before I got here. What I most like about blogs is an individual’s personal insights to their wealth of information. When I return to a blog it is because I can get something different than most of what I am reading.

By the way if you like NM, then visit my blog: http://www.about-albuquerquenm.com. It mostly has entertainment value. Leave your information to ina comment box so some more people can sign up to your blog! Thanks, Mary MacIntyre
