Seminars the real key to the vault

One of the biggest differences in my personal business came when I attended my first seminar in November 2005. At that point I had been puttering around on line for 5 years and was turning a profit but was very far from being able to leave my job.
Within two months I had launched my first program with a partner that I met there, 10 months later I left the JOB. I have never looked back.
You hear a lot of successful people telling you to get out to a seminar. There is a reason for that. (Now I won’t say you can’t make it without doing this but… It does make it easier and faster.)
Here are 3 reasons why you should.
1. It builds a network of people that are serious about business. How much support do you get from the people around you. Most of them have no idea what you are talking about or why you would even want to do this.
I never talk to my Mother even today on Mother’s Day that she doesn’t ask if everything is okay. She still can’t fathom that someone could earn money from home using the internet.
2. The chance to talk to your peers. I can’t count the number of ideas I have gotten from just a conversation with someone at an event. One idea from a short discussion with Alan Bechtold in Orlando this year caused a huge shift in my mindset.
3. You will find sources for the things that you need. Now this may be a partner for a project, a source for graphics or programming, a new affiliate for your products or many other things.
Personally I try to get to 3 or more such events a year. They are that powerful to my business that I usually make 3-10 times what I spend from each event.
Now if you are in the central Pennsylvania area I would love to get to meet you and start a local mastermind group. These are also extremely powerful. Contact me if you are within 50 miles of Hazleton.
One of the excuses I always hear is the cost. With travel, hotel and admission it can add up quickly. The Orlando trip probably cost me a bit over $2000.
Even the upcoming seminar in Philly for JV Alert will cost me over a $1000 and that is really close for me.
That is why I am happy the Focus Seminars will be doing their half day seminars up and down the east coast this year. If you are within driving distance of one I recommend you grab a ticket. At just $20 a session it overcomes the cost issue.

I intend to attend the one in New York and may go to Philadelphia too. (Going to NY because a good friend is flying in from Denmark for it on his way to another event out west.) Yes meeting people face to face, even those that I talk to and do business with on line regularly is that important to me.
Even if you can’t make any of those do take the time to get out from behind the computer and look for seminars that are in your area. Stretch your comfort zone and you will be surprised at what will happen to your business.
