It's always important to return to the basic information from time to time, as so many of our readers are newbies at any one time. Good post Mike. It’s always good to go back tot he basics, and to keep in mind that not everyone you are emailing knows everything your do. That’s why they are reading in the first place. The key point is to pay attention to the licenses. I would have gone a step further and strongly suggest that they always keep the license file with the product because its easy to forget just what rights you have with a product after time.

Thank you for clarifying those terms Mike. It's easy to assume that everyone knows what we are talking about, but people who are just starting out online have no idea about these terms.
