Here is an intersting story that pertains to Jeff Dedrick’s Hidden Sales Project.

It looks at the way Harley Davidson does there overall marketing. What can we learn from Harley?

Okay, here’s what this post is about. A friend of mine — Jeff Dedrick — was telling me about what he learned from Harley-Davidson motorcycles:

They DON’T make most of their money selling motorcycles!

Nope.

Most of the fat stacks of Harley cash come from all the OTHER stuff they sell their customers: shirts, leather, helmets, and about a gazillion other accessories.

Amazing.

I know — yawn. How boring, right?

You know, like a “little ebook”.

These are the “hidden sales”.

And the HIDDEN SALES are where ALL THE MONEY IS MADE.
