Early survey results are in – more participants needed

Started this survey on Friday with two simple questions to help me understand what would be most helpful for you.

The choice was to pick what was holding you back the most.

  • Finding a product to promote 18%
  • Getting my hosting set up 2%
  • Creating my pages in HTML 5%
  • Setting up my autoresponder 21%
  • Building my list 23%
  • Other 30%

Now those figures actually make me feel a bit better than the last time as most of the people that did not pick other are either looking for list building help or finding a product.

For me this shows that people are at least understanding that list building is a necessary part of any online business.

For the other category about half the people were talking about focus or time management. The rest tended to be very specific problems that can’t be addressed here.

Would love to get some more input but this is giving me some ideas for the direction these posts will be taking. If you have not participated yet you can still add your input by filling out the quick survey.

You questions and comments are welcomed.

    Mike,

Glad my choice got first place.
You can do all the nice things on your site, put nice products together, work out all the details but you still need a list to take benefit from it.
So list building should be the number 1 indeed.

If you want an idea to go with setting up auto-responders, I could use help on learning to consolidate multiple lists into one, or moving people from one list to a combined list.

It always amazes me when people complain they aren’t getting the information they need to really do well online, yet they don’t take the few minutes to add their input to a survey like this.

Take the time to fill in Mike’s survey – it’s only by telling Big Dogs like Mike what information it is you need that you can most use right now. Otherwise, you’ve no one to blame but yourself if you’re not finding answers to help you succeed online!

I picked list building but could just as easily picked autorespondres as well. More to what type of messages should you start you autoresponder series with, then what to say next. But a very good poll. Not surprised to see list building up there.

I love the survey Mike. Will have to put one on my site.

My answer is actually close to the #2 answer…getting help with and setting up the sales page for my own product.

    Great job!

Good survey Mike. It’s only my asking and receiving responses that we can offer what our visitors want to learn about.
