I couldn’t ageee more Mike. Even when you are first starting out, using free of low cost advertising, tracking is a must.

I rmemember when I started over 18 months ago now, being attracted to optin email blasters ‘Blast Your Ad to 100,000,00 Hungry Buyers.

Isn’t ignorance bliss :-) And I shot an ad out on a free one. But without tracking, didn’t really know how many hits, much less sales I made from that blast. Were they from the blast or from my other existing sources of advertising??

Who knows?

But the idea of blasting was still attractive (silly boy that I was then), and I joined a paid service.

But, luckily, I decided to add the tracking I had, but hadn’t used, from one of the companies I’m associated with.

Result? NO sales, and not even ONE hit!

That told me several things;

1) Blasters don’t produce worthwhile results
2) Some are scams
3) Most importantly – track everything!
