What are resell rights

The concept is a simple one: you buy the rights to sell a product as your own with certain restrictions. This can be a great alternative to creating your own products if you do it right.

You are going to need some basic web skills to make this work.

  • How to edit HTML
  • How to upload a page
  • How to add a payment button

If you don’t have these basic skills I recommend you check out Videos For Beginners. There are videos there that you can watch for free to teach your self these skills.

Next if you are going to use resell rights you need to understand the various types of resell rights there are.

Now a quick caveat here. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS review the license that comes with any resell rights package you purchase.

The seller may restrict the price you can sell for, whether you can give the item away, whether you can you sell it on an auction site like Ebay or any other restriction they may add.

Now some of these restrictions can be good for you as the biggest problem with using resell rights is that some people figure to undercut everyone and a good product can quickly become valueless without any restrictions.

The difference between resell rights and master resell rights.

Resell rights allows you to sell a product as your own but you can not let someone else have the same rights as you have. They can only purchase the product for their own use.

Master resell rights give you the same rights plus the ability to sell the resell rights to other people. These are more valuable as a general rule.

Finding good resell rights

Finding good resell rights products is the key to making money with this business model. The trick is to avoid these pitfalls when looking at resell/master resell rights products.

What to avoid:

  • Buying non exclusive products - If there are 1000’s of people with the same products it is real tough to stand out.
  • Buying Products That Ended Up In Price Wars - Hard to turn a profit on a product that is selling on Ebay for 99 cents
  • Buying Old And Outdated Products - This is probably the one that trips new people the most. You see this product with resell rights but it is 4 years old and been sold over and over and over.

Avoid these and find products that are new, of good quality and have a limited release and you will find that this can be a very good business model for you.
