It you are promoting your own product, and you should be, or at the very least planning your first, here are 3 ways to leverage that for building your list.
1. Use a squeeze page on your sales letter.
There are a variety of reasons other than list building to be doing this. It is always a good idea to capture people’s information for proper follow up. Even if I looked at your letter and was thinking of buying it the odds are I won’t return. If you are sending a follow up series then I may come back on the second, third or fourth follow up. The more often I come back the greater your chance of generating a sale.
You will also have a list of people interested in a specific topic. Find a complimentary product and let them know about it. Again, another chance to fatten your bottom line.
2. Offer free updates within your product.
Customers on your list are your ideal future customers. They know you and like what you offer. Gathering there information with a promise to update them with future upgrades is an easy lay up. These are your perfect market for the next product you bring out with in your niche.
3. Use your product in jv giveaways.
Having a product to give away in these joint ventures is a great way to add subscribers. The way this works is you offer your product for free or for a very low price in exchange for someone signing up for your list.
This works in a few ways. First, if you are using the second item in this list of three you get someone who has first hand experience with your product. Second, a satisfied user is your ideal customer for your next offering.
Make sure that you are using these three tips if you have your own product. If you don’t have your own product, get started on it today.
