For a long time I have been a huge proponent of using viral marketing. One of the first items I used for list building was a report on tracking. The links were mine but to get more name recognition I allowed others to rebrand the book for a price.

This gave me a greater recognition and if someone did not brand all of the links the one’s that they skipped maintained my links. When people clicked the links I stood to make a commission from any purchase they made.

The problem with these was that the software that I was using was an exe file. Mac users could not rebrand the book and it was a royal pain in the butt to use.

When I redid Tracking Your Way To Profits a few months ago I set it up as a membership site and had to get a programmer to allow the book to be rebranded on the fly. The downside was the costs involved in getting it done and purchasing the membership script.

The script, Launch Formula Marketing, allowed for OTO’s and a downline builder but then I had to pay someone to integrate that with the pdf to be delivered on the fly to those that upgraded. If you are looking to do a full product this is definitely a great way to set things up as the membership script allows you many ways to monetize your site.

The problem is that there are other times that you just want a rebrandable pdf for other reasons. For example I just created a pdf for my affiliates to use that pre-sells a specific product of mine. Going through all of the items to create a membership would be a royal pain.

Fortunately, the programmer that implemented that for me, Jay Hines, now has released a program that will do the same for any pdf and rebrand it on the fly. It is called Easy Viral PDF Brander.

This is a script you host on your site and it is easy to install and does not need any data bases to make it work. The installation took less than 5 minutes.

I created a pdf and just added the tags to the urls that I wanted to be rebrandable. Uploaded the pdf and then put in the information in the admin panel.

In this case the pdf only used one variable but if I had 5 or 10 it will pick up the number of variable for you automatically. You add a description to explain what they are rebranding, a url where they can sign up and the default variable that will be used if they do not rebrand a specific link.

Once you click the “Set Admin Defaults” you will receive two items. A link which will be hosted where you installed the script or some code you can add to any web page.

If you are an affiliate you can add your affiliate number and download the pdf to give away right from there.

Now I will be creating a squeeze page and giving that to my affiliates from the second page this week and then they can use that to build their own list while promoting one of my products through the mp3 and transcript that are in the pdf.

You can use this to make some great tools for affiliates or you can easily create a report that your downlines in any program can use to promote that program. Another way to use this is to easily create a report to promote any programs you like and then use the ability to rebrand it to build your list and/or generate fees for allowing the rebranding.
