Big Red Easy Button – Myth or Fact?
Big Red Easy Button – Myth or Fact?

Affiliate marketing is often sold as the ultimate big red easy button. Go find a product at one of the huge affiliate sites like Clickbank and send traffic to the sales page with your affiliate link. Collect huge checks over and over. Only do that and it is a myth.
Smart marketers know it takes more than just traffic to be a successful affiliate. Smart marketers create a system of some type to promote affiliate products. List building and follow up is always at the center of their system.
It usually consists of a free giveaway of some type or what I call an ethical bribe to get permission to follow up with those people. This can be a free report, an audio interview, a video, an e-course or a combination of any or all of the above.
This requires having an autoresponder and a 3 page web site system to get the subscriber on to your list.
You need to create a follow up series to promote the product on a continuing basis. This can be tied in to more free reports, videos or just training to help your subscriber see the value of the product you are promoting.
This is necessary because most people won’t buy the first time they see a product. It may not be the right time. It may be something that they are not quite ready for. That is one of the reasons that even the best sales letters rarely convert at more than 1-2% even with targeted traffic.
Despite that you will see some affiliates that can generate 3, 4 or even 5 times that average conversion because of the relationship that they have built with their subscribers. The follow up series allows you to do just that – build the relationship with your subscribers.
You can see how powerful this can be.
Now the disadvantage of this is the part they skip on all of the hyped up sales letters. It takes effort or that bad 4 letter word – WORK. It does require you to either have some skills or the cash to outsource processes.
You will need hosting and the ability to create web pages. If terms like HTML, FTP and PHP make your eyes glaze over you are in for a learning curve.
You will need an autoresponder to automate the follow up for you. You will need to understand how to use that system.
None of these are quite like rocket science and most people can pick them up easily. It can be daunting to get it started. Once started you need to test and tweak the system until you get it operating properly.
Do it once then you need to rinse and repeat the process.
Create these systems and you will have the proverbial big red easy button. Just send traffic and collect the cash.
To cut your effort and learning curve check out the premade affiliate systems including the ethical bribe and follow up series ready for you to just send traffic to at The Clickbank Pirate.

Few people realize how much effort goes into successful affiliate marketing, either by the super-affiliate or by those they outsource to. So many nonsensical ‘guides’ exist claiming that it doesn’t take experience, knowledge or hard work to make it as an affiliate – it’s a wonder they can find enough gullible people to buy them all!

There’s no such thing as an Easy Button or a Magic Button. Affiliate marketing although an easy way to get into Internet Marketing takes education and that word you like to refer to as “the four letter word” WORK. It’s not difficult but it does take time to gain the necessary experience to do it right. It sounds like the Clickbank Pirate program will help to short cut the learning curve by providing affiliate systems with most of the hard work done for you. I’m looking forward to this launch

I as able to take a look inside CB Pirate, and I am happy to say that they have made this follow-up process quite easy for you. You don’t have to spend the time witting follow-up emails, you just have to focus on sending traffic.

I’m willing to work, a little. But all of this is new at first and working alone its hard to know if you are doing things right or wrong. And when there are so many things to do before you really get started, its no wonder that so few new people succeed. This new product may be just what the doctor ordered. Just concerned that it not be overused for any one product. Intersted in seeing how they handle that.

Mike, a very good summary to the process necessary to get started in an affiliate business. I can vouch for the fact that work is involved for each step. Ir’s easy to say just put some emails in your autoresponder. But that takes work. and the “3 page web site system” requires that you spend time and effort setting up each page. But I agree with your last statement. “Create these systems and you will have the proverbial big red easy button.” Good post.

As always you explain the steps very well. I did find out that without WORK there is no success. Even with work it is not easy and quick. Endurance comes tehn into place.
Hope Clickbank Pirate will make it easier.

I found out long ago that there is no big red ‘Easy Button’.
It does take time, dedication, perseverance, and a lot of hard work.
Clickbank Pirate, while no ‘Easy Button’, does certainly look promising in getting rid of some of those mundane tasks.
Can’t wait to see it in person!

Mike…good information on what it takes to be a ‘successful’ affiliate marketer.
I echo your statement about building your list and building a relationship with that list first and foremost. Do that, and then they will come.
Great content. Keep up the good work….and when you do find that big red easy button, be sure to let me know
