Did you just groan when you read that statement? I know I did. No I am not Scrooge but as I get older Christmas comes quicker and quicker. Now I do enjoy the holiday but the thoughts of shopping and then the January depression when the bills come in are what make me groan.

Yes I know today is Halloween and the Christmas rush is not supposed to start until closer to Thanksgiving. However…

I would much rather make money with Christmas instead of paying or to at least have extra money so the credit card stays in your pocket and you actually have a Happy New Year. Wouldn’t you?

As a marketer you actually can but you need to move fast. You need to get a product or products out in the market place NOW.

The use of videos on the Internet is growing exponentially popular by the day. Did you know that:

- The average person remembers 50% of what he hears and see after 2 weeks? This is compared to just 10% of what the average individual would remember if he had only read.

- Number of online videos viewed in the U.S. alone jumps 13 percent in March 2008 to 11.5 Billion!

I could go on and on. So if you had been limiting yourself to using only written content and selling E-Books as a source of income, there’s a pile money still left on the table!

I’m not implying that E-Books are growing obsolete - they will continue to be around for many years to come. But if you want to double or triple your income and sign ups from your Information Business, you will do well to strongly consider using videos.

You will also find that videos make a better learning tool for many as compared to just learning via reading. Look at the statistic I had just shared, you’ll get the idea. I use videos in a few of my products.

Unfortunately, there is a learning curve in creating good videos This is where the drawback comes in, though there are still so many good reasons to start implementing videos for your business.

Compared to writing an E-book it takes a few skills to develop good videos, and a good synergy at that. You really need to be a good teacher and educator through the videos. Let’s not forget other product creation needs like niche research, sales copy writing, and doing your own graphics.

I’m happy to tell you though, that my marketing friends, Edmund Loh & Stephen Luc, have conceived a shortcut to video creation.

I understand that product launches come and go every day. You may get tired of seeing all the email and this one will be huge. Don’t let that automatically cause you to ignore this because this is the exception and a product that you really need to consider. One of the things I saw and never really told you about in The Halloween Giveaway is the option of avoiding signing up for all the lists and all the time it takes. A good friend of mine Doug Champigny wrote about it today and called it Giftus Avoidus.

I loved the term and made it a link to his blog because I like to give credit where it is due. Very improtant thing to do when blogging in my opinion and just being polite when someone triggers an idea for you.

Here are some of the key points why people don’t take advantage of giveaways like The Halloween Giveaway.

• You don’t have time
• Too many giveaways
• Don’t want to be on more lists even for a day
• Too much junk

Invest a few dollars and save all the time and clutter in your email box.

You will find junk but you will also find quite a bit of quality content. The gift I have added is brand new as are quite a few others.

There are quality blog themes, a book on Twitter and many more (120 in total). You will find topics that you need to learn (if you are not expanding your knowledge base regularly quit now.)

So you can go and get these gifts and have the choice.

• Invest a few bucks and save time
• Invest time and save a few bucks

Earlier I had told you about the webinar that Derek Gehl was going to have Tuesday. He addressed the questions that were submitted to his earlier survey.

He basically spilled his guts, walking everyone through the exact steps they need to follow to overcome their BIGGEST challenges with making money online!

There is a new giveaway coming from Kevin Riley and Michael Brown called IM Dream Team. They are doing it a bit different than most.

You really need to understand Kevin Riley to get it. He gives a percentage of his profits every month to Dr Mani’s Heart Kids Foundation to provide heart surgeries for kids in India and has for a couple years. That is how I first found him as I always support Dr Mani’s events.

Yestreday I talked in length about using the products you can get from various free giveaways and how to not get side tracked with them. See I love giveaways both as a list building tool and for getting products I can use for that FREE price.

There was a key statement in that last sentence products I can use.

Read the post before this first then go see some great free products at The Halloween Giveaway. Grab those that will help you and that you can see using in the next few months.

Avoid those on topics that don’t fit your business. The product I am giving away is about using blogs and even though I think everyone should be using blogs if you are not planning on using them over the next few months don’t get it.

The key here is to get what you can use and skip those that would be a distraction as focus is the key to building your business.

Lots of giveaways lately and lots more coming towards the end of the year. Now you grabbed the products what did you do with them?

I really like giveaways both to build my list and to add good products to my portfolio. The big problem with most people starting out is you get info overload. All of these things to do and no idea where to start.

Does this sound familiar?

You joined a giveaway and downloaded a bunch of products. Now your hard drive is filling up but you don’t have an idea what to do with them. On top of that now you are getting a lot more email every day. Each one talking about a different topic.

Can you relate to this?

Here is a plan to help you get value from this instead of getting totally overloaded to where you do absolutely nothing. After all if you get frozen like a deer in the headlights you definitely will not make any money. It takes effort to succeed.

First have you decided on a business plan? If you have no plan then everything you look at starts a new business model. This is the real key to success.

Now lets start with the products.

Hopefully you added them all into a folder where you can find them. Start by looking over each item quickly. Ask the following questions.

• Does it fit your business model?
• Does it seem to be a quality product?
• What are the rights you have to this product?
• If you answered yes to the first two questions can you apply it now to your business?

This will quickly allow you to sort out what is worth your time and what is not. Make a list of these and schedule time to actually use and apply the ones that are worthwhile and spend a set amount of time each day on this.

***NOTE - You should be asking these questions even before you start downloading .

Now to the increased email you are getting. Ask the following questions.

• Do I get usable information?
• Does the topics discussed fit my business model?
• Does the author fit my style?

Give each person two weeks and if they don’t get primarily all yeses then unsubscribe.

Now that you are consuming the information and applying it look at what has rights that you can use to earn from that you found worthwhile. (After all if you did not find it worthwhile why would you want to try and sell it?) This would be anything with resell rights, master resell rights or private label rights. Look for an article on doing just that in the future.
